Greeley Central's loss came despite strong showings from Dizzy Carrillo and Daniel Martinez. Carrillo scored 18 points, while Martinez scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Martinez is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Guillermo Gonzalez meraz, who scored six points.
Poudre was led to victory by Kaden Cox and Luke Foster. Cox scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks, while Foster dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. The contest was Foster's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Cornell-Nosaka, who scored 14 points.
Greeley Central has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Poudre, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Greeley Central will be playing at home against Far Northeast W at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Far Northeast W is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Poudre, they will head out on the road to face off against Northglenn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Northglenn is ranked 195th, while Poudre is ranked 212th).
