The Red Hook Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Hudson Bluehawks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Red Hook is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Rondout Valley on Thursday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Dylan Dibble spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. Red Hook is 2-1 when Dibble allows two or fewer earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Red Hook got a big performance out of Robert Paschal, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Paschal also put up two hits, which were his first of the season. Dylan MacDonald was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Hudson and Maple Hill, and Hudson kept the tradition alive. The Bluehawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Wildcats on Wednesday. The Bluehawks haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Gannon Logue made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Logue wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Antonio Troy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That's the most hits Troy has posted since back in April of 2024.
Hudson's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Red Hook, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Red Hook has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hudson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Red Hook beat Hudson 14-11 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
