The Milton Hershey Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell to Mechanicsburg 55-49. Milton Hershey lost against Mechanicsburg in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-49 score last time.
Despite the defeat, Milton Hershey saw an underclassman step up: Abdou Diene scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Sam Coleman, who scored eight points.
Milton Hershey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mechanicsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Milton Hershey will head out on the road to face off against Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mechanicsburg will be home for the holidays to greet Cedar Cliff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Cliff will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 467th, while Mechanicsburg is ranked 179th).
