The Colton-Pierrepont Colts gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 52-26 margin over Parishville-Hopkinton. With Colton-Pierrepont ahead 35-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Colton-Pierrepont's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nate Smith, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eric Friedel, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals.
Colton-Pierrepont's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Parishville-Hopkinton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
