Make it six blowout wins for the Withrow Tigers this season. They put the hurt on Western Hills with a sharp 62-37 victory on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Withrow has posted since December 13, 2023.
Withrow got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyriana Berry out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 22 rebounds. Berry is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatiyana Berry, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Withrow's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Western Hills, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Withrow will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Hughes at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Hughes is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Western Hills, they will head out on the road to square off against Taft at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Taft comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
