Sterling moved up to 93 from 119 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Colonial - Liberty. A 16-13 win over the Silver Knights helped the Silver Knights improve their standing.
Haddonfield was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Bulldawgs beat Sterling 16-13 earlier in the week.
Haddonfield's dynamic duo of Mike McLaughlin and Ted Stevetski proved tough for Clint Wiley's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. McLaughlin threw for 116 yards and Stevetski had 70 yards receiving. Jacob Robinson helped Haddonfield's passing attack out by catching one ball for 27 yards.
Gerald Towns-Owens was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 28 carries, he ran for 157 yards as West Deptford topped the Silver Knights. Teammate Connor Smith added to the ground attack by rushing for 119 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Dante Pinckney of Haddon Heights is the league leader in passing yards this season with 314. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, the Eagles' Towns-Owens has rushed for 498 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Stevetski. The Haddonfield star has five catches for 145 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place West Deptford takes on second place Sterling. West Deptford topped the Garnets last week, while Sterling fell to the Bulldawgs.
Haddonfield and the Silver Knights played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Haddonfield eventually emerging with a 16-13 victory. McLaughlin ran for 18 yards in the win.
