The Roswell Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 50-39 to North Springs. Roswell lost against North Springs in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-47 score last time.
North Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nathan Lucas, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Robert Harris was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Roswell has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for North Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roswell will challenge Pope at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Pope's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Roswell has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. As for North Springs, they will take on Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully North Springs likes a good challenge.
