The Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves were the 47-43 winner over the Woodlake Tigers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Wonderful College Prep Academy took a hard 48-29 fall against Woodlake on Friday. Wonderful College Prep Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Among those leading the charge was Hugo Cruz, who scored 16 points. He hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Saul Rodriguez, who scored nine points.
Wonderful College Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Woodlake, their victory ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wonderful College Prep Academy will face off against Kings Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Kings Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 16 games. As for Woodlake, they will head out on the road to take on Granite Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Granite Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Woodlake likes a good challenge.
