The Stone Tomcats's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 42-32 victory over Gautier. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Stone also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Stone got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jabori Moye out in front who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Moye continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. JaKobey Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and three blocks.
Stone's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Gautier, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stone will take on Poplarville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Poplarville is hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses. As for Gautier, they will be playing at home against Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
