On Friday, Dysart wrapped up 2023 with a 71-53 win over Mica Mountain.
Dysart had a senior duo take command as Nigel Anderson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds and Te'Shon lewis scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. The game was Anderson's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Williams, who scored six points.
Dysart has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Mica Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-2.
Dysart and Paradise Honors will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Paradise Honors will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Dysart is ranked 48th). Mica Mountain will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sahuarita at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
