Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warden). They breezed by the Granger Spartans to the tune of 65-30 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Warden's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10. As for Granger, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Warden won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mabton at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mabton will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Warden surely won't give up without a fight. As for Granger, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Tri-Cities Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
