They claimed a resounding 57-12 victory over Pocahontas County on the road. The result was nothing new for Summers County, who have now won five contests by 25 points or more so far this season.
Summers County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandan Isaac, who threw for 366 yards and five touchdowns on only 16 passes. Isaac is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Oliveros, who picked up 217 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Summers County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Pocahontas County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Summers County will be playing in front of their home fans against Clay County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clay County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 324 points over their last six games. As for Pocahontas County, they will head out on the road to face off against Tygarts Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
