The Canyon Springs Cougars will take on the Hillcrest Trojans at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Canyon Springs is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Perris a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Cougars with their most commanding win of the season.

Canyon Springs got a great performance from Dane Karlson as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave Karlson a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Issac Martinez was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Dylan Andrews was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
Canyon Springs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Perris only posted a batting average of .133.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest won against Vista del Lago on Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Trojans didn't even let the Ravens on the board, marking the Trojans' second-straight 10-0 shutout. Considering the Trojans have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Chris Sampson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Mueller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Hillcrest pushed their record up to 11-5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Canyon Springs, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10.
