Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fillmore Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makenna Mccoy, who scored 13 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Mccoy grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Ali Nichols, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Cecilia entered their tilt with Sutton with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. St. Cecilia walked away with a 36-29 victory over Sutton on Friday.
St. Cecilia found their leader in underclassman Nathie Krikac, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Krikac is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Fillmore Central's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for St. Cecilia, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
