Faith Baptist waltzed into their game on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals 21-5. The Contenders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by ten runs or more this season.

Keira Correos made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Hailey Coronel was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Lianna Palacios was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Faith Baptist always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .651. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .567 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Faith Baptist pushed their record up to 13-5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Clarita Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7-1 record this season.
