The Brooks Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Dyett 65-32. Bryce Hayes and Braylon Smith certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Hayes scored 17 points along with three steals, while Smith scored eight points. That's the first time this season that Hayes grabbed two or more steals.
Brooks bumped their record down to 2-17 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Dyett, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brooks will take on Kankakee at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dyett, they will play host again and welcome Bogan, where tip off is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bogan is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
