Softball Game Preview: Phil Campbell Bobcats vs. Covenant Christian Eagles

The Phil Campbell Bobcats will square off against the Covenant Christian Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Covenant Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Phil Campbell, who comes in off a win.

Phil Campbell took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Phillips with a sharp 12-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won five in a row.

Addi James was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. That run marked the first that she's scored this season.

In other batting news, Phil Campbell let Siddalee Rogers and Mia Ambrosio run wild.
