South Hills and Los Altos are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Huskies will host the Conquerors  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (South Hills 3.5, Los Altos 3.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
South Hills picked up another tournament win  on Saturday. They came out on top against California by a score of  14-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won ten matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
South Hills got a great performance from  Parker Milton as she  struck out eight batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and not a single walk).
 At the plate,  Giuliana Najera and  Charli Moreno did most of the damage at the plate:  Najera  went 3-for-4 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles, while  Moreno  went 2-for-5 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Those  two  doubles gave  Najera a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mikayla Sta. Ana, who  went 3-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
 South Hills  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as California only posted  an  OBP of  .348.
Meanwhile, Los Altos has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.68  runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit  on Saturday. They lost  15-2 to Chino. The Conquerors' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 Los Altos saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Isys Garcia, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.  Brianah Alejandre was another,  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 South Hills is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Los Altos, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
Los Altos' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  South Hills has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .483. It's a different story for Los Altos, though, as  they've  only  averaged .354. Will they be able to contain South Hills' hitters?
