Softball Recap: Independence Drops Highest Score of Season Against West St. John

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Independence). They were the clear victors by a 40-20 margin over the West St. John Rams on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Independence's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for West St. John, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-1 record this season.

Independence has already played their next matchup, a 16-1 defeat against Hammond on the 9th. As for West St. John, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-4 loss against White Castle on the 8th.
