When it comes to explaining why Timpanogos lost, one person who can't be blamed is Steven LaPray. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with two steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that LaPray scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Graf, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Payson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kamika Wesley, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Cooper Swasey was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven assists and two steals.
