Despite the loss, Illinois Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Sam Adeniran, who scored 25 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Jaden Walls, who scored 16 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grace Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Reynolds, who scored 24 points. Sam Marquardt was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Illinois Lutheran and nudges their season record down to 3-13. As for Grace Christian Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Illinois Lutheran will challenge Grant Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Grant Park is ranked 671st, while Illinois Lutheran is ranked 694th). Grace Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cissna Park at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th.
