If the Carrollton Warriors were riding high off their 74-33 takedown of the Claymont Mustangs last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Carrollton fell 55-44 to Indian Creek on Monday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carrollton in their matchups with Indian Creek: they've now lost three in a row.
Carrollton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Demi Leary, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Brae Roudebush, who scored eight points along with three steals and two blocks.
Carrollton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3. As for Indian Creek, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Carrollton will be playing in front of their home fans against Salem at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Salem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Carrollton is ranked 82nd). As for Indian Creek, they will head out on the road to challenge Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
