The biggest upset of the week belonged to Tennyson, who took down 482nd ranked Arroyo, 17-10. Joshua Handy ran for 50 yards and caught two passes for 13 yards in the win.
The Lancers moved up to 473 from 527 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Alameda County - Shoreline. Tennyson was able to make the jump by beating the Dons 17-10.
Aaron Jones was the best wideout in the league this week as San Lorenzo fell to Mt. Eden. Jones racked up six receptions for 53 yards. Andre Benson Jr helped San Lorenzo's passing attack out by catching four balls for 46 yards.
Kevin Mosi provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Rebels lost to the Monarchs. He completed 12 passes for 131 yards and also ran for five yards.
Quinzell Moore was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 61 yards on 12 carries as the Lancers fell to Mt. Eden.
Isaac Tapia put up the best numbers through the air as Arroyo fell to Tennyson. He finished with a total of six completions for 113 yards and one touchdown. Tapia's favorite target this week was Malcom Hale, who caught two passes for 44 yards.
The Lancers' Gilberto Magallanes and Datron Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading West Alameda County - Shoreline in both passing and receiving yards. Magallanes has thrown for 846 yards this season, while Smith, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 20 catches for 393 yards. Paul Perenon's team's Devante McGowan leads the league in rushing yards with 734.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Tennyson takes on second place Piedmont. Tennyson bested the Dons last week, while Piedmont beat Alameda.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Lancers take on the Highlanders. Tennyson has allowed 64 points this season, while Piedmont has given up 121. The Lancers allowed 10 points last week as they topped Arroyo.
Tennyson extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Dons, 17-10. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Lancers.
