Softball Recap: Captain Shreve Wins Going Away Against North Webster

Captain Shreve won the last time they faced North Webster and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Captain Shreve Gators' way against the North Webster Knights as the Captain Shreve Gators made off with an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Aubry Townsend, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Meagan Hill, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Captain Shreve always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Captain Shreve's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for North Webster, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Captain Shreve will head out on the road to square off against Doyline at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Webster, they will host Sterlington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sterlington's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so North Webster's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
