The Cheatham County Central Cubs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 67-47 walloping at the hands of East Robertson. Cheatham County Central lost against East Robertson in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-50 score last time.
Several Cubs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tucker Proctor, who scored seven points along with five rebounds. Jevin Adcock was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Cheatham County Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for East Robertson, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheatham County Central and Waverly Central will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Waverly Central is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. East Robertson will finish 2023 at home by hosting Russellville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Russellville is ranked 232nd in Kentucky, while East Robertson is ranked 254th in Tennessee).
