Cathedral came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors by a score of 11-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-2 last Monday.

Sergio Chavez looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Irvin Duarte was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Emiliano Terrazas, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Cathedral pushed their record up to 18-7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Santa Teresa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4.

Cathedral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Teresa, they will host Da Vinci at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
