St. Mary lost against the Sterling Classical Soldiers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. Mary's took a serious blow against Sterling Classical, falling 60-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Mary's has scored all season.
Sterling Classical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ely McClung, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max McDonald, who scored ten points.
St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Sterling Classical, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will face off against Grace Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Sterling Classical, they will head out on the road to square off against Providence Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
