Grand Saline is 0-7 against Lindale since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Grand Saline Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Lindale Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Grand Saline's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Last Tuesday, Grand Saline suffered a rough 11-1 loss at the hands of Cumberland Academy. Grand Saline has not had much luck with Cumberland Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Lindale was able to grind out a solid win over Chapel Hill on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lindale.
Grand Saline dropped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only scored one goal over those three contests. As for Lindale, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which somehow isn't as good as their 9-2-2 record this season.
Grand Saline might still be hurting after the 14-0 loss they got from Lindale in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Grand Saline avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
