The Elko Indians lost to the Reno Huskies back in December of 2022, but the Elko Indians didn't allow the Reno Huskies the same satisfaction on Friday. Elko walked away with a 51-43 victory over Reno. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Elko.
Elko had a senior duo take command as Preston Chamberlin scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals and Bernard Fesenmaier scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Tinkorang, who scored 4 points along with 17 rebounds.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aidan Casey, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Harvey Smerdon, who scored 9 points.
Elko's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Reno, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Elko and Kuna will face off at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Kuna's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Reno will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Lowry at 12:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
