Eden Christian Academy is a perfect 9-0 against Sewickley Academy since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Eden Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Sewickley Academy at 4:15 p.m. Eden Christian Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Sewickley Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Last Wednesday, Eden Christian Academy made easy work of Bishop Canevin and carried off an 8-2 win. Considering Eden Christian Academy has won five matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brady Hull made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in June of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

In other batting news, Brett Feldman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Christian Watkins, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Sewickley Academy started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Freedom Area. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 13-11 on Thursday. Even though they lost, Sewickley Academy's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Charlie Scally was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Straka, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Sewickley Academy's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6. Those home losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Eden Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Eden Christian Academy took their win against Sewickley Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will Eden Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Sewickley Academy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
