It was a good run, but  the Etowah Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough  69-39 loss at the hands of River Ridge. Etowah has not had much luck with River Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Sophia Pearl, who  scored 22 points along with two  steals. Another player making a difference was  Allie Sweet, who  scored five points along with 21  rebounds and five  steals.
 Etowah's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for River Ridge, they pushed their record up to 22-4 with that  win, which was their ninth straight  at home.
 Etowah is on the road again  on Friday and plays Sequoyah at 4:00  p.m.  on February 16th. As for River Ridge, they will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Rome at 7:00  p.m. River Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 534 points over their last eight games.
