Central is 6-1 against Camelback since October of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Central Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Camelback Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 252 points over their last five matchups.
Central put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past North 41-21.
Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Khameron Athy out in front who rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 41 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Cam Allen, who threw for 221 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes.
Camelback fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 22-13 victory over Fairfax on Friday.

Central's victory was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 North Canyon and 2-7 Browne (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 32.8% over those games). As for Camelback, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
Central was able to grind out a solid win over Camelback in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, winning 27-19. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Camelback's Max Martin, who threw for 304 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
