Basketball Recap: Langham Creek Skates Past Cypress Park with Ease

Langham Creek's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They breezed by the Cypress Park Tigers to the tune of 62-19. With the Lobos ahead 32-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Langham Creek was led to victory by Brooke Prevost and Reese Fernandez. Prevost dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards, while Fernandez posted 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Prevost's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Envy Jackson, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points and seven boards.

Langham Creek's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-13. As for Cypress Park, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-20.

Langham Creek will venture away from home to take on Waller at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Langham Creek is facing Waller at the right time seeing as Waller is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cypress Park, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cypress Park Tigers take on the Cypress Springs Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cypress Springs will roll in looking for their 21st straight victory, something Cypress Park surely won't give up without a fight.
