Spooner hadn't done well against Mercer recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Rails walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers. The Rails were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Tigers, so the Rails were just returning the favor.

Spooner moved to 4-14 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak. As for Mercer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Coming up, Spooner will square off against Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mercer, they will challenge Hurley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
