Basketball Recap: Rowe-Clark Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jasean Knox and Marcus Fossett

Rowe-Clark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Johnson Pumas. The Masai Lions lost against the Pumas in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 65-34 score last time.

Marcus Fossett and Jasean Knox certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Fossett went 8 of 9 on his way to 20 points and six rebounds, while Knox posted 14 points along with eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Fossett a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshawn Jones, who put up eight points.

Rowe-Clark's record now sits at 0-3. As for Johnson, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rowe-Clark will venture away from home to square off against Comer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Johnson, they will head out on the road to face off against Bulls College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
