The Delone Catholic Squires will square off against the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Delone Catholic comes in on four and Greencastle-Antrim on seven.
On Wednesday, Delone Catholic beat York Catholic 7-2.
Jack Wilson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). Wilson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Hohenstein, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season. Jackson Hamerick was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Delone Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Greencastle-Antrim got themselves on the board against Big Spring on Wednesday, but Big Spring never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by nine runs or more this season.
Greencastle-Antrim gave Jaxson Bostick the start and clearly made the right call: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Manny Brookens came in to relieve Bostick and was airtight, giving up no runs, hits or walks in his an inning pitched.
On the hitting side, Nolan Sullivan was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Rakaczewski, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Greencastle-Antrim's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Delone Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 4-2-1.
