It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Caliche had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Walsh Eagles 57-24. Considering the Buffaloes have won seven matchups by more than 23 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Hudson Gourley and Samuel Wright certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Gourley rushed for 126 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, while Wright gained 182 total yards and three touchdowns. Gourley's passing game has become a key predictor of Walsh's success: the team is 5-2 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise.

The win (which was Caliche's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.0 points over those games. As for Walsh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Caliche wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 70-32 loss against Stratton on the 15th. Walsh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
