Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lightridge walked away with it. They never let Independence get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but Lightridge sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lightridge's victory bumped their record up to 7-2-1. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9-2.

Looking ahead, Lightridge will challenge Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Lightridge's offense will have their work cut out for them. Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
