The Northwestern Huskies''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Waynedale at home and fell 49-8. Northwestern was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-8.
Marquel Troyer had an outrageously good game for Waynedale as he rushed for 260 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Cole Lewis also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Northwestern's loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.7 points per game. As for Waynedale, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.
