Even though they lost, Wallkill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Onteora only four offensive rebounds.
Onteora found their leader in sophomore Ryder Bickel, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 21 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for Bickel. Emerson Ingalsbe also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Wallkill's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Onteora, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Wallkill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Onteora, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-47 loss against Spackenkill on the 20th.
