It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but McClave had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Arickaree Bison 75-40. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Tuff Kelley had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. He has been hot, having posted 17 or more points the last seven times he's played. Mason Barr was another key player, shooting 71% from the field on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.
McClave was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arickaree only racked up seven.
Arickaree lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was AUSTIN WRIGHT, who posted 15 points and six boards. He has become a key player for Arickaree: the team is 6-3 when he posts at least 15 points, but 4-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of DANIEL GOFF, who scored nine points and five rebounds.
The win was the 13th in a row for McClave, bringing their record up to 22-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.9 points. As for Arickaree, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
McClave didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-42 victory against Granada on the 7th. Arickaree does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
