Baseball Recap: Sullivan Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sullivan extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 15-12 in the process. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Owensville Dutchmen, sneaking past 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Dutchmen on May 1st, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

As for Owensville, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-10. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Owensville's part, Chase Weirich was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. What's more, Weirich gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

As of now, neither Sullivan nor Owensville have any future games scheduled.
