Kierra Souphakhot posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. She struck out 35 batters over 15 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Souphakhot and Newmarket will be playing in front of their home fans against Nute at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sadly, Souphakhot's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Mules' 11-game streak of wins at home.
