Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Guthrie). They put the hurt on the New Hope Indians with a sharp 4-1 victory on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what Guthrie needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Guthrie has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for New Hope, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Guthrie will venture away from home to challenge El Reno at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Hope, they will head out to square off against Pennington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. New Hope are facing Pennington at the right time seeing as Pennington are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
