Even though the Washington Patriots have not done well against the Spring Mills Cardinals recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Washington came out on top against Spring Mills by a score of 60-52. The win made it back-to-back wins for Washington.
Washington was led to victory by Lexi Adams and Miriangelis Rivera. Adams scored 17 points, while Rivera scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rivera has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Janae Bradley, who scored eight points.
Washington's victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Spring Mills, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-1 record last season and are now at 1-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will take on Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Spring Mills, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Musselman at 6:00 p.m. Musselman has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three games.
