The NYOS Charter Jaguars will face off against the Da Vinci Dragons at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. NYOS Charter is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
NYOS Charter pushed their score all the way to 64 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to Meridian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (60), NYOS Charter still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lucas Harman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark-Anthony Amichia, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, Da Vinci gave their fans yet another huge win two weeks ago. They breezed by Deming at home to the tune of 72-30. Winning may never get old, but Da Vinci sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
NYOS Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Da Vinci, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season.
NYOS Charter took a serious blow against Da Vinci in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, falling 64-28. Can NYOS Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
