Hampton Roads Academy extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Zuriel Pendleton-Morant. The Hampton Roads Academy Navigators simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Bruton Panthers 62-27 thanks in part to Pendleton-Morant, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 24 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Cooper, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.
Despite the loss, Bruton still got an impressive performance from Annalise Wood, who put up 13 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zymeia Taliaferro, who had two points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.
Hampton Roads Academy pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Bruton, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
