The Bastrop Rams will challenge the Simsboro Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bastrop has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Bastrop lost 13-6 to Summerfield on Friday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kajoria Wilson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jameria Tolbert, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Simsboro). Everything went their way against Plain Dealing on Friday as they made off with a 20-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 16 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Kailee Hamilton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring five runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Ciara Caldwell was a standout: she scored five runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Jacoya Lewis was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Simsboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The win was the third in a row for Simsboro, bringing their record up to 19-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Bastrop, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13-1.
