Cal Carter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Carter was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).
