The York Cougars will be playing at home against the Northwestern Trojans at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
York lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on last Friday was a bit more commanding. Their tough 43-20 loss to South Point might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss York has suffered since November 20, 2023.
Cooper Green was York's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Meanwhile, Northwestern's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indian Land.
This is the second loss in a row for York and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Northwestern, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-15.
York came out on top in a nail-biter against Northwestern in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, sneaking past 31-28. Does York have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northwestern turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
